Kathryn Michaud, 37, Paynesville Kathryn D. Michaud, 37, of Paynesville died unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, Aug. 18. Memorial services were held on Friday, Aug. 24, at the Johnson Funeral Home in Paynesville. Kathryn and her husband, Kim M. Michaud, moved to Paynesville in 1999. She is survived by her husband, Kim; children, Shayne Werner of Sauk Rapids, Shayla (Sheyenne) Michaud of Paynesville; step-children, Shannon Michaud of New London and Christine Michaud of Idaho; mother, Dorothy Daniels of Remer; three step-grandchildren; and one brother, Clayton Daniels of Cass Lake.
Funeral Services were held on Thursday, Aug. 23, at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Paynesville. Interment was at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. In lieu of flowers memorial are preferred. Paul Roger Rud was born on Oct. 20, 1932, on the family farm in the Irving Township, the son of Clarence and Hazel (Kalkbrenner) Rud. He grew up on the family farm and attended District 24 Country School and Paynesville High School. In 1948, he started driving milk truck for North American Creamery. He is survived by his children, Michael (Elizabeth) Rud of North Brach, Sandra (Paul) Lemke of Otsego, Tammra (Ronald) Klever of Belgrade; six grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; siblings, Adeline (Llewellyn) Lang, Robert (Elnor) Rud, Beverly (Rodney) Schultz, Betty (Merlin) Cropp.
A celebration of his life was held on Thursday, Aug. 16, at Lord of the Hills Lutheran Church in Aurora, Colo. Randy was a 1965 PHS graduate. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Shirlene; sons, Travis (Stacey) and Tyler (April); two grandchildren; mother, Phyllis; stepfather, Herb; brother, Larry; sisters, Mona and Linda; stepsister, Charlotte Gatewood; and many more family and friends.
Memorial services were held on Monday, Aug. 20, at Paynesville Lutheran Church. Marlin and his wife, Angie, moved to Paynesville in 1980 and owned and operated the Paynesville Floral and Greenhouse. He was a member of Paynesville Lutheran Church and the Paynesville American Legion Post #271. Marlin is survived by his wife, Angie; children, Tony of Pipestone, Marty (Gina) of Paynesville, and Jeanine Buenger of Cherokee, Iowa; three grandchildren; his mother, Bessie of Pipestone; and sister, Eva of Pipestone.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, Aug. 17, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids Burial was in the parish cemetery. Ramona was born on July 1, 1929, in Lake Henry to Othmar and Elenora (Lenz) Brick. Survivors include her daughters, Carol Hylla of Sauk Rapids, Joyce Hylla of Sauk Rapids, and Wendy (Brad) Janson of Mason City, Iowa; sisters and brothers, Marilyn Golembeski of Sauk Rapids, Ruth Brick-Trageser of Spicer, James Brick of Lake Henry, and Harold Brick of Roseville; and two grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley. He taught band in the Eden Valley-Watkins Schools for 34 years. Survivors include daughters and sons, Mary (Pat) Gannon of Eagan, LouAnne (Kevin) Mortell of Minneapolis; Susan of Richfield, Rich (Kathy) of Savage, and Joseph (Cathy) of St. Louis Park; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Grace United Methodist Church in Paynesville. Bob graduated from Paynesville High School in 1946. Bob was a chiropractor in the Paynesville area for many years. He was also a pilot, who flew out of the Paynesville airport. He is survived by sons, Rondo (Karen) Olsen of Los Angeles, Calif., Jay (Sandy) Olsen of Buffalo; and one grandson. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, Aug. 1, at 2 p.m. at Lincoln Evangelical Free Church in Lincoln, Minn. Arthur is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lila; sons, Michael (Judy) of Eden Prairie, Richard (Peg) of St. Croix Falls, Wis., and Thomas (Margaret) of Minneapolis; four grandchildren; sisters, Virginia (Phillip) Rud of Paynesville, Dorothy King of St. Paul, and Audrey (Benard) Lang of Baxter.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, Aug. 10, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville. Burial was in the church cemetery. Joseph Edward Moser was born on Dec. 12, 1960, in Paynesville, the son of Edmund and Juanita (Lang) Moser. He grew up in Paynesville where he attended Paynesville High School, graduating in 1979. Joe had just recently fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning and operating a restaurant, with the purchase of Eden Lake Lounge in rural Eden Valley. Joe was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Roxy of Paynesville; children, Jennifer (Bryan) Heinen of Cambridge, Stephanie Moser of St. Bonifacius, Samantha Moser of Eden Prairie, and Benjamin Moser of Paynesville; a grandson; mother, Juanita Moser of Paynesville; siblings, Joanne (John) Lahr of Sauk Centre, Marty (Laurie) Moser of Paynesville, Lynnette (Mark) Casey of Phoenix, Ariz., Sheryl (Ron) Fuchs of Paynesville, Tim (Michelle) Moser of Paynesville and Pat (Lee) Moser of Paynesville and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
