The Bulldogs played well offensively, where they have been struggling, as well as defensively.
In the second inning, the first three batters for the Bulldogs, Trish Hemmesch, Michele Lahr, and Gretchen Ziemer, all walked. Trish Hemmesch scored on a wild pitch, as did Lahr.
In the third inning, Jen Lindquist scored on a home run hit by Milissa Hopfer.
The fifth inning was a big one for the Bulldogs. They scored seven runs, having walked eight and Carrie Hemmesch was hit by a pitch.
Defensively, Lindquist made some remarkable grabs in center field. According to coach Rafferty, ÒShe gets a good jump on the ball, so she has time to get to it and make the play.Ó
