Paynesville's first event of the night was the bar competition. The girls didn't do as well as usual. Rachel Koehn placed fifth with a 6.0. Placing first was Krysta Larson scoring a 7.5. The Bulldogs total score for bars was a 24.35.

The girls then moved to the vault competition. They all had very nice vaults but only two placed. Michelle Wolbeck earned an 8.35 which tied her for second with two Kimball gymnasts. Joy Hemmesch vaulted into first place with an 8.5.
The Bulldog gymnasts then moved to the floor competition. Krysta Larson placed fourth with an 8.0. Placing third with an 8.1 was Joy Hemmesch. Rachel Koehn tumbled into second with a nice routine and an 8.15.
The last event of the night for Paynesville was the beam competition. Rachel Koehn placed fifth with a 7.15. Earning third with a 7.3 was Joy Hemmesch. Krysta Larson balanced into second with a 7.35. The girls all did very well.
In the all-around competition Joy Hemmesch placed fourth with a 29.7. Earning second with a 30.7 was Krysta Larson.
Coach Deb Nehowig commented, "Thirties are nice to see. The girls did a great job on vault and floor. We lost the meet on bars. We beat Kimball on the other three events, but had a rough time on bars."
