River Lakes and Monticello combined for 23 penalties and 46 penalty minutes. Junior wing Mike Anderson scored both goals for the Stars, one in the first period and another in the third period. Junior center Chris Knauss assisted on both goals, while sophomore wing Andy Schramel had one assist. Monticello scored both their goals in the second period. Against St. Michael-Albertville on Tuesday, Dec. 10, the Stars took a 1-0 lead in the first period on a goal by senior center Kyle Curran, assisted by Ryan Weber and Gavin Schmitt. But St. Michael-Albertville tied the score with a goal in the second period and won the game in overtime in Richmond. The Stars are now 1-2-1 for the season.
