Snowmobilers must register |
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources reminds snowmobilers to make sure their snowmobile's registration is current before hitting the trails this winter. Snowmobile renewal notices will soon be sent by the DNR to owners whose registrations expired last June. Snowmobile registration, which is good for three years, costs $48.50. Snowmobiles can be registered at any deputy registrar, where cars are licensed, including city hall in Paynesville, or at the DNR License Bureau in St. Paul. When registering, the owner must have information about the make, model, year, serial number, and engine size. The DNR also warns snowmobilers to use caution on the trails early in the season to make certain the trails are groomed and ready.
