The Stars' second game of the week was at Simley on Thursday. This wasn't the best game the Stars will play. Simley is probably the best team the Stars will play during the season.
The first period was all Simley on the scoreboard, scoring five goals to none for the Stars.
The second period went a little better. Simley scored first, then a goal from Bret Theisen put the Stars on the board. Then, the Stars scored again, with a goal from Darren Stomes and an assist from Justin Turtowski.
This process continued with Simley scoring again, and the Stars answering with a goal by Mike Anderson, with assists from Kyle Curran and Luke Braun.

Worthington 4
River Lakes 3
The Stars' first home game was a disappointing loss. This was a game the Stars had expected to win.
Playing at the Koronis Civic Arena on Saturday afternoon, the first period came as kind of a surprise for the Stars. Worthington scored their first goal about a half minute into the game. They managed to put a second one in about two minutes later.
After that time, the Stars started to wake up. They played a little better, but it wasn't until halfway through the period that David Schramel scored for the Stars, assisted by Bret Theisen.
The team went into the locker room, and came out a little better. They succeeded in keeping Worthington from scoring, but on the other hand, the Stars didn't score either in the second period.
The third period had more scoring. The Stars looked like they had fallen asleep again, allowing Worthington to score two goals in two minutes.
Then, just as before, the Star's offense woke up with Andrew Schmidt scoring with an assist from Darren Stomes, and Kyle Curran scoring with an assist from Mike Anderson.
Despite the Stars' efforts, they couldn't do anything in the remaining seven minutes, and the score remained in favor of Worthington, 4-3.
