Meagher earns All Conference honors again
Max Meagher, a senior linebacker at Northwestern College in St. Paul, was named first-team All Conference in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference for the 2006 season. Meagher, a 2002 PAHS grad, earned All Conference honors for the second straight season.The Eagles finished 7-3 in 2006, including 6-1 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference. Nineteen Eagles earned All Conference honors.
On defense, the Eagles had five first-team All Conference players. Meagher led the team in tackles for the second straight year with 84, including 8.5 tackles for a loss, 4.5 sacks, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and two forced fumbles. He also was named All American and academic All American last year.
The son of Debbie and Mike Meagher of Paynesville, Meagher is a youth ministry major.
