Honorable mention All-Conference players were lineman Jon Schefers and running back Josh Trees. All-Conference players were split end/cornerback T.J. Schultz, strong safety/tight end Nic Glenz, linebacker/fullback Adam Schaefer, and middle linebacker Joe Nosbush (pictured ar right).
Nosbush broke six school records this season. He now holds the Paynesville records for most defensive points for a game (44), a season (255), and career (516). He also holds the records for total tackles in a game (29) and in a career (332). The last record Nosbush now holds is most career solo tackles with 100.
Coach Kyle Nehowig stated that Nosbush is living proof that you don't have to be big to play football. Nosbush played middle linebacker for the Bulldogs while weighing 165 pounds. He is one of the toughest players to ever play for Paynesville, as he played his senior season with a broken wrist and was still the leading tackler this year.
The Bulldogs return ten starters on offense and nine starters on defense next season, including four players who won conference honors: Glenz, Schaefer, Schefers, and Trees. With some hard work in the off season, the Bulldogs hope to improve their record from this year.
Their season record was 2-7, with a 2-3 mark in conference. That tied them for third in the conference.
