Flanders, Kerzman lead boys' efforts at NL-S |
The Bulldogs boys' cross country team finished seventh out of 14 teams at the Little Crow Invite, hosted by New London-Spicer, on Thursday. The meet was held again at the Little Crow Country Club. Junior Dugan Flanders and ninth grader Jonathan Kerzman led the Dogs once again, both recording top-20 finishes. The duo have alter-nated being the first and second runners for the Dogs this fall. Flanders finished 17th last week, with Kerzman eight seconds back in 20th. Ninth grader Jamison Wall was the Dogs' third runner again, finishing in 36th place overall. Ninth grader Jonathan Kerzman has emerged as a top runner for the boys' cross country team this fall. He finished second for the Dogs and 20th overall last week. Junior Peder Thompson and ninth grader Nathan Friederichs completed the Dogs' team score by finishing 44th and 48th respectively. Right behind Friederichs, one second behind in 49th place, was seventh grader Tanner Wendroth, in his first varsity race. Another highlight for the boys' team was ninth grader Josh Sturtz placing seventh in the junior varsity race. This week, the Dogs ran in a meet at Pierz, which also will host their sectionals this year, on Monday. The Dogs will run in the mega-meet at Milaca on Saturday, Sept. 24, with the meet starting at 10 a.m.
