Paul and Naujokas play on select hockey teams

Jamie Paul and Alex Naujokas have been playing on select hockey teams this summer. Both tried out at the National Hockey Center in St. Cloud last spring with kids from Brainerd, Little Falls, and St. Cloud. Alex, in his second year on a select squad, is playing for the major squirts. Jamie, in his first year, is a minor peewee.

Alex's team won the championship in a tournament at Moorhead against teams from Fargo-Moorhead, Grand Forks, and Rochester. In another five-game tournament at Alexandria, they faced teams from the metro area and compiled a 4-1 record again.

Jamie played in a tournament at Alexandria with his team. He played left defense in every game for his team, which won half of its games.
