In the men's eight-mile race, Clayton Lang and Adam Utsch, both runners for Paynesville Area High School, placed fourth and eighth respectively. Lang was first in the 13-18 age group in a time of 47:38, and Utsch was third in that age group in 50:39. David Scott of Paynesville completed the eight-mile course in 67:59.
In the four-mile race, Amanda Lieser, a Paynesville Area High School graduate, finished 11th overall and second in the 19-24 age group. Her time was 30:48.
