In the Bulldogs' only playoff game, Habben had three hits in four at bats, including a double, drove home two runs, and played error-free defense at second base.
Habben also earned All Conference honors this spring in the West Central Conference North. She was the Bulldogs' regular at second base.
For the season, Habben led the Bulldogs with five multiple hit games and was tied for second with 11 stolen bases. She also was second in put outs with 39 at second base.
She batted for a .250 average, but softball coach Tim Woehler appreciated her at bats and her contact hitting. "She always put the bat on the ball," he said.
Woehler called Habben a consummate team player, who worked hard, did her job, and was a positive team leader. Next year, he expects her to help pitch, in addition to playing the middle infield.
