Eric Kunstleben pitched and threw five innings, giving up six hits and two earned runs, while striking out six. Justin Mackedanz threw relief and was tagged with the loss.
Roscoe did not help their pitchers much as they committed seven errors in the game.
Mackedanz and Robert Leyendecker led the Rangers in hitting as they went 3-4 in the game. Curt Christian provided the power for Roscoe as he hit a home run in the game.
Roscoe took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second when Mackedanz led off the inning with a single and stole second and third. He then scored on a sacrifice fly by Keith Winter.
Both teams scored two in the third inning to make the score 3-2, Roscoe.
Spring Hill took a one-run lead in the top of the fourth when they added two more to make the score 4-3.
But the Rangers fought back as they scored three in the bottom of the fifth. Robert Leyendecker walked and Mackedanz doubled . Tim Lieser was hit by a pitch and Spring Hill also had an error allowing Roscoe to take a 6-4 lead.
The game continued to go back and forth as Spring Hill came back by scoring three in the top of the sixth. Roscoe tied the game by scoring one in the bottom of the inning and the teams held each other scoreless in the seventh forcing the game into extra innings.
In the top of the eighth Spring Hill scored three runs to take a 10-7 lead.
Christian's homer provided a spark for Roscoe, but he could not do it alone and the Rangers fell by a final of 10-8.
Roscoe will play at Meire Grove on Thursday night and then will host a game against Farming on Tuesday evening, July 13.
