Regal rallied with a three-run eighth inning to beat New London-Spicer 3-1 on Saturday in Regal in a Cornbelt League game. NL-S had taken a 1-0 lead with a bases-loaded walk in the second inning, but Regal tied the game on A.J. Hadley's RBI double in the bottom of the eighth. Then Jeremy Fuchs plated the game-winning runs with a two-run single. A.J. Hadley throws to first for a 1-6-3 double play in the fifth inning on Saturday against NL-S. Hadley also had an RBI double during a three-run eighth inning as Regal rallied to win 3-1. Chris Beier came within one out of pitching a complete game. He earned the pitching victory. Fuchs got the last out for a save. Regal (5-8 overall) lost on Sunday to Norway Lake-Sunburg 11-0. Lake Henry sweeps two Lake Henry built a 3-0 lead against Roscoe on Saturday in Lake Henry. The Rangers scored a run in the top of the seventh to get within 3-1, but the Lakers scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth to take a 6-1 lead. Adam Miller had a two-run single for the Lakers in the eighth, and Herbie Weidner added an RBI single. Adam Miller had a key two-run single as the Lakers beat Roscoe 6-3 on Saturday. Miller also had three RBIs in the Lakers' win at Farming on Sunday. Roscoe scored two runs in the top of the ninth, with Dale Mackedanz and Brent Heinen hitting RBI singles, but Lake Henry prevailed. Ryan Wuertz had an RBI double for the Lakers in the first, and Adam Kampsen, who came within an out of pitching a complete game, had an RBI hit in the fifth inning. Farming led 5-4 on Monday - in a game postponed by snow in May - when the Lakers rallied to tie in the eighth inning and scored the winning runs in the top of the ninth. In the eighth, Jeff Schmitz singled, went to third on a sacrifice when the Flames failed to cover third base, and scored on a sacrifice fly. In the ninth, Lieser singled, stole second, and went to third on a single by Kampsen. Wuertz was robbed of a homer by the Farming leftfielder, but Lieser scored on this sacrifice fly. Doug Fuchs, who earned the pitching victory with three innings in relief, added an RBI single in the inning. The Lakers had five sacrifice flies in the game. Miller hit an RBI double in the second inning for the Lakers, and Fuchs had an RBI single in the ninth. The Lakers (10-2 in league) are still tied with St. Martin for the division lead. The Lakers will host Regal on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in an exhibition game and will play their final league game at Greenwald on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

St. Martin 8, Richmond 5
The Martins built a 7-1 lead before Richmond scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh. Ryan Nett pitched six innings, allowing only one run, for the win. Sam Rothstein hit a solo homer in the sixth inning, and Nathan Schlangen hit an RBI triple in the sixth, too. This week, St. Martin will host St. Augusta in an exhibition game on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and will host Farming in their last league game on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

Pirates split two games The Pirates used a 13-hit attack to beat Starbuck. They built leads of 3-0 and 5-2 before winning 5-3. Mark Andrie had three hits in the win, and Jamie Paul pitched two innings of hitless relief for a save. New London-Spicer took a 5-0 lead against the Pirates, who scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh to get within a run at 5-4. But NL-S scored three runs in their final two at bats to make the final 8-4. This week, the Pirates will host Atwater on Wednesday, July 6, at 7:30 p.m. and they will play at Sacred Heart on Friday, July 8, at 7:30 p.m.

Spring Hill 6, Greenwald 4
After the Cubs took a 4-0 lead with two runs in the top of the first and two more in the top of the third, Spring Hill scored two runs in the fourth inning on a pair of walks and a pair of groundouts, making the score 4-2. Spring Hill took the lead with four runs in the fifth inning, getting three of their four hits in the inning. Eric Schoenberg singled and scored; Dave Stalboerger singled, drove home a run, and scored; and Chris Spanier hit an RBI double. Aron Welle earned the pitching victory by throwing six-plus innings of shutout relief. Spring Hill is now 5-7 in league and are ahead of Elrosa and Meire Grove, both 4-8, by a game in the Stearns County League North. This week, Spring Hill will play at Meire Grove on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. A win would assure the Chargers of a playoff berth.
