Drew Nathan started for Roscoe and Mike Leither threw relief.
Leither also led the Rangers in hitting as he was 2-4. Nathan, Jeremy Leyendecker, Jake Kierstead, and Justin Kierstead all had one hit apiece for Roscoe.
Roscoe got out to an early lead by scoring three runs in the top of the first.
Regal slowly started a comeback in the bottom of the third when they got their first run of the game. They followed that up with one more in the bottom of the fourth.
In the top of the fifth Roscoe looked to add to their one run lead. They scored two more to take a 5-2 lead over Regal.
However, Regal tied the game as they scored three runs in the bottom of the inning to make the score 5-5.
Then in the bottom of the sixth Regal was able to add the go ahead run and make the score 6-5, which is how the game finished.
Freeport 16
Roscoe 3
Roscoe was defeated by Freeport 16-3 on Sunday night, in Freeport.
Mike Leither started on the mound and was relieved by Drew Nathan, Ben Moser, and Justin Schlangen.
Roscoe fell behind quickly as Freeport scored 13 runs in the first two innings. Freeport was able to do this by scoring six in the first and seven in the second.
They then added one in the bottom of the fourth to take a 14-0 lead.
Roscoe scored two in the fifth and one in the sixth, but it was nowhere near enough as Freeport cruised to a 16-3 victory.
Roscoe only has one game next week and that is Wednesday Meire Grove will travel to Roscoe.
