Kampsen plays at Northern St.

Adam Kampsen, a 2004 PAHS graduate, batted .324 this spring for the Northern State baseball team. He led the team with 13 homeruns and 45 RBIs this spring.

The 6' 0", 190-pound freshman played second base and shortstop and also pitched four innings. He played in 43 games, starting 42. He had 44 hits in 136 at bats, scored 34 runs, hit nine doubles, and led the team with 92 total bases. With 15 walks, he had an on-base percentage of .408. And he drew all four of the team's intentional walks.

Northern State, located in Aberdeen, S.D., went 19-24 this year including 8-14 in the Northern Sun Intercol-legiate Conference. Kampsen hit .333 with six homers in the NSIC.
