St. Martin shut out Roscoe 4-0 on Sunday in St. Martin behind a three-hit shutout by Jake Harrison and Scott Schlangen. Harrison pitched eight innings for the victory, allowing three hits. Schlangen, who started the all-star game on Friday night, pitched the ninth inning. St. Martin's Ryan Nett barreled into Roscoe shortstop R.J. Leyendecker during a stolen base attempt on Sunday as Leyendecker tried to corral the throw. Nett was safe on the play, and the Martins won 4-0. The Martins (10-6 overall, 6-3 in the Stearns County League South) scored an unearned run in the second inning to take a 1-0 lead, scored a run in the fifth on Nathan Schlangen's two-out, broken-bat single, and scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth on an RBI single by Sam Rothstein and an RBI double by Jesse Thelen. The closest the Rangers (1-7 in league) came to scoring was the top of the sixth, when they loaded the bases on an error, single by R.J. Leyendecker, and walk with one out. The Martins ended the threat by turning a 1-2-3 double play. The Martins are now a half game behind Lake Henry in the Stearns County League South standings.
