The game stayed that way until the fourth when the Bulldogs were able to get four runs in the inning. Miller provided the offensive spark in the inning with a two-run double before he left with an injury. Paynesville was helped out by three Pioneer errors in the inning. That made the score 6-1, and the game stayed that way.

The Bulldogs played excellent defense not committing an error in the game.

The real story of the game was Heinen. He completely dominated the Pierz hittiers. Out of the 21 total outs, Heinen struck out 11 and didn't walk a single person.

Paynesville played last night (Tuesday) in Cold Spring against Melrose. If they win they will play on Thursday night in the 5A Sub-Section Championship game, also in Cold Spring. A full report of both games will be in next week's Press.
