Trio plays ball at tech college |
Chris Beier, Justin Butkofski, and Adam Hemmesch, all from Paynesville, played baseball this spring for St. Cloud Technical College. The Cyclones finished their season with a record of 7-21. Beier, a 2005 PAHS grad, hit .200 (10 of 50) with two doubles and a triple. He also pitched 21 innings, going 1-1 with an ERA of 5.14. He is studying in the electrical program at St. Cloud Technical College. Butkofski, also a 2005 PAHS grad, hit .259 (14 of 54) and led the team with two homeruns. He also pitched 31 innings, going 1-4 with an ERA of 3.14. He is studying in the sales and marketing program at St. Cloud Technical College. Hemmesch, a 2004 PAHS grad, hit .161 (5 of 31) for the Cyclones and pitched 12 innings. Both he and Butkofski also caught (34 innings combined). Hemmesch is studying in the carpentry program at St. Cloud Technical College.
