Teams competing were Litchfield (two teams), St. Michael-Albertville, Dassel-Cokato, Farmington, and Paynesville. The Paynesville girls took last with a total of 217.
Leading the Bulldogs was Katie Wright with a 52. "It could have been better. I'm sure everybody has a few strokes they can shave off before the next meet," Wright said. Maria Janotta, Sally Heitke, and Amanda Glenz shot 54, 55, and 56 respectively.
Other scores for Paynesville were eighth grader Amber Jensen with a 56 and Heather Fuchs with a 57.
The girls' had a conference meet at Albany on Monday, which was their last conference meet of the season. Those scores will be in next week's issue of the Press.
The girls will compete in sub-section play on Monday, May 21, at the Little Crow Golf Course between New London and Spicer. Play starts at 9 a.m.
