Glenz fired a two-over par 38 on the front nine to tie for medalist honors with James Lehner and Paul Welle, both from Albany. Glenz birdied the par-five #6, bogeyed #4, #8, and #9, and had five pars.
Mitchell Mackendanz averaged scores of 44 over his three rounds for the golf team last week.
"Going into matches, I've been telling myself to just try and get it close, make par, and not try to do too much," Glenz said. "I've been happy with the way I've been playing," he added. "Of course, there are shots you wished you could have made, but overall I'm happy."
Albany won the team event with a total of 160, which was matched by Long Prairie-Grey Eagle but Albany earned the win by virtue of a lower sixth-man score.
The Bulldogs nearly beat Sauk Centre. Paynesville's four-man total was 180, just two strokes behind the sixth-place Streeters. It was the Bulldogs' second lowest team total of the season.
Besides Glenz, Adam Rafferty fired a 46 and Mitchell Mackedanz and Corey Schmitt had 48s.
The Bulldogs concluded their regular season on Monday with a conference match at Sauk Centre. Their subsections will be held on Monday, May 21, at the Little Crow Country Club between New London and Spicer.

Litchfield meet
The boys had their best meet of the year, according to coach Todd Knudsvig, and fired a season-low team total of 171 at the Litchfield meet on Thursday.
The Bulldogs had four players under 45 in their most competitive conference outing of the season. Nathan Glenz and Mitchell Mackedanz led the way with rounds of 41. Adam Rafferty shot 44, and Eric Gerding 45 for a four-man total of 171.
The Bulldogs trailed Sauk Centre by three strokes and Melrose by six. Four conference teams averaged rounds in the 30s by their top four golfers. Long Prairie-Grey Eagle won with a four-man total of 154, an average of 38.5 strokes per man. Cathedral, Albany, and Litchfield tied with 156, an average of 39 per golfer.
Medalist at the meet was Litchfield's Drew Dvorak with a 34. Cathedral's Steve Richter, LPGE's Josh Meyer, and Albany's Paul Welle all had 35s.
With one conference match to go (at Sauk Centre on Monday, May 14) Glenz has a chance to earn All Conference honors. The spots are given to the ten golfers with the lowest stroke average in the seven conference meets. Through six meets, Glenz was averaging 40.2 strokes, which is 11th in the conference.
In the overall conference standings (based on seven points for a first-place finish and one point for seventh), Cathedral and LPGE are tied for the lead. The Crusaders and the Thunder have 33 points. Litchfield is next with 30, and Albany has 27. Melrose has 24, Sauk Centre has 15, and Paynesville six.

Sauk Centre meet
The Bulldogs played in an 18-hole meet at Sauk Centre on Saturday. The Bulldogs finished tenth out of 11 teams.
Glenz led the team by shooting 42-39=81. Mackedanz shot 46-45=91, Gerding shot 47-45=92, Rafferty shot 47-49=96, and Schmitt shot 51-53=104.
Albany beat Annandale on a tie-breaker to win the meet, and three WCC North teams finished in the top five at the meet: Albany, St. Cloud Cathedral, and Litchfield.
The Bulldogs played at Sauk Centre again on Tuesday, in their last conference meet.

The boys had a conference meet at Long Prairie on Monday, April 30. This recap was inadvertently omitted from last week's story.
Glenz and Mackedanz led the team with rounds of 43. Rafferty shot 47 and Schmitt 49 for a team total of 182, three strokes behind Sauk Centre.
