Bulldogs fall to Melrose, LPGE | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Bulldog softball team had a tough week last week, losing two conference games. The Dogs traveled to Melrose on Tuesday, May 6, and were defeated by the Dutchmen 6-2. The Dogs took an early jump on the Dutchmen 1-0, but Melrose retaliated with five runs in the third inning. Not putting the ball into play at clutch times worked against the Dogs, who also committed five errors. According to coach Tim Woehler, the Dogs' heads just weren't in this game, and they need to come ready to play. Senior Trisha Chevalier had one of the Bulldogs' hits in a loss to LPGE on Thursday. Senior Susie Swyter went 2-3 for the Dogs. Sophmore Kayla Mackedanz, senior Ashley Mackedanz, and sophomore Valerie Callenius each had a hit for the Dogs as well.
