Stearns County League Roscoe 6, Lake Henry 2 The Roscoe Rangers continued their unbeaten start in the Stearns County Line League by topping last season's champion, the Lake Henry Lakers, 6-2 on Sunday in Roscoe. The Rangers broke a scoreless tie with three runs in the third inning, using two hits, a walk, a hit batsman, and two errors to score three runs. Tony Orbeck had an RBI single in the rally. With the bases loaded, two runs scored on Greg Heinen's grounder to third, when the Lakers threw to second for a force out but the relay to first was wild. Curt Christian and Brent Heinen scored for the Rangers in the fourth, as Roscoe responded to a run by the Lakers with two more of their own to build a four-run lead. The Lakers scored again in the top of the sixth, but the Rangers scored again in the bottom of the sixth to make the final 6-2. Jeff Schmitz scored both of Lake Henry's runs, driven home each time by Mike Stalboerger, who had three hits. Roscoe had five stolen bases in the game. Greg Heinen earned the pitching victory for the Rangers, going six innings, allowing only two runs, and walking none while striking out eight. Justin Mackedanz and Brent Heinen pitched scoreless relief for the Rangers. The game was third of the season for the Rangers, who are 2-0 in league and 2-1 overall. The game was the first of the season for Lake Henry, who fell to 0-1.

St. Martin 6, Farming 4 The Flames took a 3-1 lead with three runs in the top of the third on Aaron Nett's three-run double, which was the only hit allowed by Martins' starter Chad Rothstein. The Martins tied the score with a run in the fifth and another in the sixth. Nathan Schlangen homered for St. Martin in the fifth inning. Ken Arceneau, who picked up the pitching win, and Luke Rothstein pitched six innings of shutout relief. The Martins held Farming to three hits for the game.
