The highlight of the night came in the first race when Clayton Lang won the 3,200-meter run. Lang broke the school's 3,200-meter indoor record. He had broken it at St. Cloud State the week before, but it was not known due to an information mix up. Fortunately, he broke it again in taking first place and now his record stands at 10:12.
Adam Utsch also did a nice job, taking third place in the 3200-meter race.
Other highlights included senior Jeff Voss taking third in the 55-meter hurdles, Luke Trees taking second in the high jump, and the 1,600-meter relay team of Eric Korman, Nic Glenz, Travis Flanders, and Eric Rausch taking second place behind a very tough Stillwater team.
Overall coach Carstens was pleased with the performance. He said, "Some of our younger kids did outstanding. There were a lot of personal-best performances."
The team competed at ACGC yesterday. They will have their first home meet next Tuesday, April 11.
