Seniors to play in all-star game

Six PAHS seniors have been invited to play in the All Star Basketball Challenge at BBE High School in Belgrade on Sunday, April 2. Basketball players from 18 schools have been invited to participate in the game.

Selected from Paynesville are boys' players Aaron Braun, Trent Hansen, and Derek Stanger and girls' players Ashley Lieser, Lynn Lieser, and Brooke Schmitz.

The schedule is: national anthem at 1 p.m., boys' slam dunk contest at 1:15 p.m.; girls' all-star game following the slam dunk contest; three-point-shooting contest after the girls' game; and boys' all-star game as the finale.

Other area athletes invited to the game include: Jenna Albright of Eden Lake Township and EV-W High School and Tiffany Gruber of Lake Henry and BBE High School.
