Throughout the season the gymnasts have been earning points for finishing in the top five places at each dual meet. The top 15 gymnasts with the most total points are named to the All-Conference team. Krysta Larson and Joy Hemmesch both earned All-Conference honors.
At the conference meet, the Bulldogs began the afternoon on the vault. Hemmesch led the team with a score of 8.6. She finished in 16th place. Jenni Mayer earned an 8.25 for 24th place. Kelli Fenske was close behind with an 8.25 and 25th place.
On bars, the team was led by Larson who scored a 7.65 to place 20th. Hemmesch placed 21st with a score of 7.5.
The Bulldog gymnasts had nice routines on beam, but they had a few falls. Larson finished in 14th place with a 7.85. Hemmesch earned a 7.6 and 15th place. Michelle Wolbeck placed 17th with a 7.6.
The floor exercise was the final event of the day for Paynesville. The girls did not score as well as they would have liked to on the floor. Krysta Larson led the team with a 7.25 putting her in 28th place. Hemmesch earned a 7.0 and 31st place. Wolbeck was right behind her in 32nd place with a score of 7.0.
In the all-around competition, Hemmesch finished in 16th place with a total score of 30.7. Wolbeck earned 22nd with a score of 28.75.
The gymnasts had their section meet on Saturday, Feb. 19 at Sauk Rapids. The results will be in next week's paper.
