The scores were: Melrose 144.05; New London-Spicer 131.775; Litchfield 126.875; Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 124.125; Sauk Centre 123.55; Benson/KMS 122.225; Paynesville 118.325; and Morris 116.35.
In the bar competition, Joy Hemmesch placed 16th with a 7.55. Mandy Mayer had the next highest score for the Bulldogs. She scored a 7.0 for 26th. Michelle Wolbeck came in 32nd with a 6.425, and Rachel Koehn took 36th with a 5.65.
In the vault competition, Hemmesch placed 12th with an 8.7, and Wolbeck placed 17th, scoring an 8.55. Kelli Fenske was right behind her in 18th place with an 8.5. Amy Mueller took 25th with a score of 8.3.
On the balance beam, Hemmesch placed 12th with a 7.95. Wolbeck took 18th, scoring a 7.4, Mueller scored a 6.55, putting her in 28th, and Mayer took 32nd with a 6.35.
Hemmesch took 21st in the floor competition. She scored a 7.775. Koehn took 24th, scoring a 7.35. In 26th was Mueller with a 7.2. Right behind her in 27th was Fenske, scoring a 7.075.
In the all-around competition, Hemmesch took 12th with a total of 31.975, and Wolbeck took 18th with a 29.375.
The gymnasts will compete in the section tournament next Saturday in Sartell. The competition begins at 5 p.m.
