Bulldogs crushed by Dassel-Cokato, Sauk Centre | ||||||||||||
The Bulldogs boys' basketball team lost to the Dassel-Cokato Chargers on Tuesday, Jan. 7, by a lopsided score of 57-36. The Chargers played a tough matchup zone, and the Dogs just couldn't get their offense going and scored just six first-quarter points. At the half, the Dogs trailed 20-15, thanks to their good defense in the first half, but a nightmarish third quarter left the Bulldogs stunned. The Chargers outscored the Dogs 20-10 in the third quarter and 17-11 in the fourth quarter and went on to win 57-36. The Bulldogs shot barely 25 percent from the floor for the game. Junior Adam Kampsen led the Bulldogs with 14 points and eight boards. Senior Josh Teicher added eight points in the loss. This week, the Bulldogs played at BBE on Monday. They will play at Albany on Thursday and at Maple Lake on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
