Two positions in each township are up for re-election this year with the exception of Zion Township, which has two supervisors up for election. Most townships will elect a supervisor for three years and a clerk for two years.

Zion Township voters will cast ballots for two supervisors, one for a three-year term and another for a two-year term. There are two years left on Larry Miller's unexpired supervisor term. Miller died in early May, and Tim Wegner was appointed to replace him.

Eligible candidates must be 21 years of age, a U.S. citizen, and a resident of the township for 30 days by election day. The filing fee is $2. Anyone interested in filing should contact their township clerk.

Due to a legislative change, filings open two weeks earlier this year than previously.

Incumbents up for re-election are:
Eden Lake Township: Conrad Blomker, supervisor; and Anne Meyer, clerk.

Irving Township: Dan Olson, supervisor; and Joyce Strootman, clerk.

Lake Henry Township: Celestine Fischbach, supervisor; and Ralph Klassen, clerk.

Manannah Township: Harold Kelm, supervisor; and Aggie Schmitz, clerk.

Munson Township: Tom Gertken, supervisor; and Kathleen Hemmesch, clerk.

Paynesville Township: Warren Nehring, supervisor; and Don Wiese, clerk.

Roseville Township: Bill Ryan, supervisor; and Pat Fenske, clerk.

St. Martin Township: John Feldewerd, supervisor; and Don Rausch, clerk.

Union Grove Township: Rick Thompson, supervisor; and Loren Pearson, clerk.

Zion Township: Richard Leyendecker and Tim Wegner, supervisors; and Carolyn Reeck, clerk. (Two supervisors will be elected, one for a three-year term and another for a two-year term.)
