Centrist Choir to perform concerts

Centrist choir with Dave Stumo The members of the Centrist Choir have a total of more than 1,300 years of singing experience.

Under the direction of Dave Stumo, the 35-member choir comes from all faiths and denominations in the area. They have met once a week to practice since October at the Paynesville Area Center.

According to Carolyn Reeck, Stumo has touched many lives through his passionate dedication to good music, and his fun loving, easy going personality.

The choir performs traditional Christmas songs, but also favorites such as "Look at That Star," "Mary, Mother Sweet and Mild," "Still, Still, Still," and "Oh, How Beautiful the Sky."

The choir has had two performances thus far. They entertained at a Thanksgiving dinner and at Community First National Bank.

The choir performed this morning at the Litchfield Senior Center. On Friday, Dec. 7, they will sing at the Good Samaritan Care Center at 2 p.m. and at the Koronis Manor at 3:15 p.m.

On Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 11 a.m., the choir will perform at the Paynesville Area Center. At 7 p.m., the choir will entertain with the String O' Pearls in the school auditorium.

On Friday, Dec. 14, the choir will board a bus for a road trip to New Prague, where they will sing at the Schumacher Hotel.
