A cast of 20 high school and middle school students are busy putting the finishing touches on the school play, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.”

We’ve all been a part of a Christmas pageant, but never a production quite like this! When the Herdman kids show up to be in the Christmas pageant, everything looks like it’s headed for disaster. However, the Herdmans make it a pageant to remember.

The production includes musical numbers and audience caroling. In addition to the public performances, the play will be performed four times on Friday for students at each school.

Public performances will be Thursday, Dec. 4, at 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 2 and 7:30 p.m. in the elementary school gym.

Tickets are $2 for students and $4 for adults. Tickets are available at the Community Education Office by calling 243-7570 and at the door at the time of the performance.

Cast members include: Janel Schefers, Jen Roberg, Jennifer and Cassandra Hayenga, Jenna Berry, Angie Eisinger, Melinda Norris, Lauren and Erin Vork, Susie Swyter, Mackenzie Merrill, Adam, Scott and Amber Ingalsbe, Dan Johnson, Valerie Meyer, Rich Lockerby, Doug Marthaler, Ryan Flanders, Ryan Lang, and Sandy Elmhorst.

Lights and sound will be done by Nathan Brown, Mike Hayenga, and Gary Condon. Musical accompaniment is by Becky Gardner. The play is under the direction of Leah Norris.
