Burning ban lifted

Paynesville Fire Chief Jim Freilinger lifted the burning restrictions for the city of Paynesville as of Tuesday morning, Oct. 31. The lifting of the restrictions was due to the recent rain in the area.

However, residents should still burn leaves with extreme caution.

The city compost site will still be open this Saturday from 9-1 for residents to bring their leaves, etc. This is the last Saturday until next spring that the compost site will be open.
