St. Cloud man enters guilty plea

In a plea agreement, Bryan Northway of St. Cloud pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in the second degree in Stearns County District Court on Monday, Oct. 22. In exchange for his guilty plea, the second degree assault charge stemming from the bar fight in St. Martin in September 2000 was dropped.

Northway is the brother of the Robert Northway, who died after the fight.

Bryan Northway will be sentenced on Friday, Dec. 14, at 9 a.m. The county attorney's office is recommending 30 days in jail and a $300 fine.

Three men pleaded guilty to fifth degree disorderly conduct charges earlier this month in another plea agreement related to the fight.

With Northway's plea, Fred Doubek of Richmond is the last person facing charges in the case.
