One hundred and fifty-seven Paynesville Area High School students earned Spotlight on Scholarship certificates for their achievements in the classroom. Sponsored by the Minnesota State High School League and Jostens, the award recognizes students who earn grade-point averages of 3.0 or higher while participating in league-sponsored athletic and fine arts activities. Varsity, junior varsity, and “B” squad team members are eligible for this award. Paynesville Area High School students earned 83 gold certificates for achieving a 3.4 to 4.0 grade point average and 74 silver certificates for a 3.0 to 3.39 grade point average.
