Curbside leaf pick-up on Saturday, Oct. 21

City residents can have their bagged leaves picked up on Saturday, Oct. 21. West Central Sanitation will pick up bagged leaves at 7 a.m. Bags must be tied, and no garbage will be accepted.

The burning of leaves is prohibited in the city of Paynesville. City and township residents can also bring their leaves to the local compost site. Weather permitting, the compost site - located on Co. Rd. 33 - will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and from 6 p.m. to dusk on Wednesdays, starting Saturday, Oct. 14. Only leaves, small branches, grass trimmings, and vegetation are accepted at the compost site.

Anyone wanting compost can also pick it up at the site during these times.
