Kickoff lunch planned for
Healthy Community Partnership

A kickoff lunch is planned for Tuesday, Oct. 3, for Paynesville residents who want to help envision, plan, and build a brighter future for their community.

Paynesville has been selected for a $15,000 grant and a year of leadership training though the Central Minnesota Initiative Foundation's Healthy Communities Partnership. This training is being done before a planned visit by the Minnesota Design Team in 2007.

A diverse group of 15 to 20 residents will be trained through the Healthy Community Partnership to help facilitate community discussions and visioning sessions.

Since 1999, Healthy Community Partnership has helped more than 80 central Minnesota communities to create a shared community vision and plan for their future.

The lunch is planned for 12 noon at the American Legion on Tuesday, Oct. 3, lasting until 1 p.m. A complimentary lunch will be served, but registrations are required. To make a reservation, contact Jennifer at city hall at 320-243-3714.
