He was arraigned on Sept. 8 on charges of two counts of second degree murder, one count of first degree assault and one count second degree murder and assault. However, his lawyer was out of the office for a week and had not filed a certificate of representation.
Judge Donald Spilseth set bail at $1 million on Sept. 2. Hagen is still being held at the Kandiyohi County Jail. Hagen allegedly shot and killed Allen Bloomquist on Sept. 1 outside his rural Hawick home, before shooting and wounding Bloomquist’s wife, Jolynn.
Kandiyohi County Attorney Boyd Beccue has also filed a request for a DNA blood test.
