Area 4-Hers earn honors at State Fair |
Members of area 4-H clubs - the Koronis Eager Beavers, the Koronis Konquerors, and the Tel-Stars - recently earned ribbons at the Minnesota State Fair. The Koronis Eager Beavers, a Meeker County club, had four state fair winners. Mesa Frenchick, participated in the state horse show where she placed second in English pleasure, fourth in western pleasure, and ninth in English showmanship. Kathy Schrupp won a blue ribbon for vegetable gardening, and Angela Wunsch won a red ribbon for food preservation. The Koronis Konquerors, a Stearns County club, had three members who won ribbons at the State Fair. Caitlin Lein received an award of merit for crafts and fine arts, Justin Reeck earned a blue ribbon for his ewe lamb, and Megan Reeck earned a purple ribbon for food and nutrition and a blue ribbon for her ewe lamb. The Tel-Stars, also a Stearns County club, had four members that earned State Fair ribbons. Jason Kolb won a blue ribbon for his winter senior yearling grade holstein, Melissa Kolb won a purple ribbon for her dairy grade summer yearling holstein, Bryan Rausch earned a red ribbon for fruit, and Kim Rausch won a blue ribbon for home environment.
