Nelson started at Alco in Paynesville in early August. He moved here from Hot Springs, Ark., where he had been an assistant manager since last October.

His goal is to provide good customer service and quality merchandise to shoppers.

Nelson said he and his family are not accustomed to snow or cold weather. The employees at Alco have been warning him about Minnesota winters and the need for warm coats, mittens, and snow boots.

Nelson and his wife, JoDee, have an eight-year-old son, Sean. The Nelsons moved to Paynesville last week. They are looking forward to getting to know the community.

Nelson likes sports, especially bowling.
