- The board received an update from its CEO search committee. (Current CEO Willie LaCroix intends to retire in December.) The search committee will look at the remaining top ten candidates, and the top two will visit Paynesville in mid-August to interview, tour the facilities, and meet the department heads and staff. The board is expected to select a new CEO at their August meeting.

- The board approved procurement of approximately $500,000 in additional funds to complete the current construction project. The exact amount needed has yet to be determined.

- The board approved an employee education loan request from Crystal Humbert for approximately $1,500.

- The board reviewed the criteria for the hospital district election on Nov. 5, 2002. The terms of six board members will expire on Dec. 31, 2002: Dr. Mike Hansen (Union Grove Township), Mel Jones (Roseville Township), Sarah Olmscheid (city of Lake Henry), Grace Peteler (Paynesville Township), Donald Thomes (Zion Township), and Vickie Ruegemer (city of Richmond).
