Watershed receives grant |
The North Fork Crow River Watershed District received a $13,500 grant from the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR). They awarded $2 million in grants to local governments for 65 conservation and natural resources projects and activities. The local grant will be used to do a digitized inventory of county and judicial drainage ditch systems within the watershed district so that better land use management can be implemented in protecting water quality and quantity. The grand dollars build capacity of local governments and help them address water management priorities listed in their local water plans, said Ron Harnack, executive director of BWSR.
