Under the direction of Colleen Pelton and Sue Teicher, the children have been busy rehearsing a rhyming version of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" and a spoof on fairy tales called "Princess."
Right: Sami Tierney tries to wake up the prince (Laura Haagenson).
In Goldilocks, the audience will meet the traditional characters as well as a Goldilocks chorus, talking trees, talking bees, and talking flowers.
In "Princess," the poor prince is the only remaining Prince Charming in the kingdom and the evil (but hilarious) chairperson and stepmothers try to drive him away by kidnapping princesses and other mischievous acts. There is a crusty dowager who is never happy, a queen and even a maid and an appearance by the Princess and the Pea and her lady-in-waiting who keep popping into the wrong story.
The frog consultant teaches the stepmothers a way to get rid of the prince. Will it work? Will the prince find his long lost princess? Will everyone live happily ever after?
