Her entry, "The Creative Consortium" was chosen from more than two dozen entries. The contest was held by a group of concerned citizens interested in promoting art and artists in the Paynesville area. Other names submitted ranged from the mundane Paynesville Area Arts Council to the witty acronym ACOLADE (Area Collection of Local Artists Developing Entertainment).
Upon notification, Kruger commented she was excited about the new arts council in Paynesville. She feels it will be an asset to the community.
The contest was sponsored by the Community First National Bank, Farmers and Merchants State Bank, and the Paynesville Branch of the Melrose Credit Union.
