Wolff opens photography studio

Tiff Wolff Tiff Wolff has started a new photography studio in Paynesville.

Wolff specializes in portrait photgraphy. She takes pictures of weddings and does portraits of babies, families, and high school seniors.

Her studio is located in the Zap Leather and Cycle store, formerly Zapf Leather and Western Wear, on James Street in downtown Paynesville.

Wolff, who grew up in Illinois, has been in the photography business for 20 years. She started in 1979, printing black and white photos for a newspaper. She worked in a portrait studio for three years and then moved to South Dakota where she managed a studio for Sears from 1983-1991. She bought a studio in 1994 in Sturgis, S.D., and has owned her own business since.

For the last few years, she hasn't had a studio, so she has done all of her work on location. "It's good to be back in the studio again," she said.

She enjoys photography because she feels it's important to record images of people, especially children, because they can change so quickly.

In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, traveling, hiking, and motorcycling.
