Stanger has more than 16 years of insurance experience, including over a year at Cliff's, and became licensed as a real estate agent in March, after she passed federal and state exams.

Stanger was interested in entering the real estate field for a long time, she said, but with two children at home, she didn't want to commit her weekends and evenings - times when clients are likely to be available to view homes and do paperwork - to the job. When her youngest child graduated from college, she knew it was time to pursue a real estate career.

Stanger, who lives in Paynesville with her husband, Jim, likes the variety that real estate sales adds to her job. She especially likes helping people find the right home, especially young families who are buying their first home.

When she is not working, Stanger likes to spend time with her family, visiting new places and meeting new people.
