Fourth of July weekend events include parade and fireworks

Rice Lake boat parade set
The annual Rice Lake Boat parade will be Friday, July 4, at 6 p.m. on Rice Lake. Any boater interested in entering the parade should meet at the Morning Star Resort on Rice Lake decorated and ready to parade around the lake.

Fireworks set for July 5
The Paynesville Jaycees will host their annual fireworks display on Lake Koronis on Saturday, July 5. The fireworks will be set off at dusk.
Boaters watching the fireworks from the lake are reminded that due to ever changing safety regulations to stay at least 1,000 feet away from First Island.
In case of rain, the fireworks will be held on Sunday, July 6.
