Students of the Month chosen for May at PAMS |
Students of the Month for May were named last week at Paynesville Area Middle School. Winners were sixth grader Chris Van Eps (center), seventh grader Marissa Mackedanz (left), and eighth grader Greg Price (right). Each month during the school year, a student from each grade is selected by the teachers and recognized for their work in class and their relationships with teachers and other students. Chris, the son of Jean and Dennis Van Eps, was excited to get the award. He thinks he got it because he is "always doing school work." His teachers say he is a good student: responsible, hard working, cooperative, and respectful. Marissa, the daughter of Mark and Mary Mackedanz, was surprised, excited, and happy to receive the award, though she wasn't sure why she did. She played on the seventh grade basketball team. Her teachers state that she is hard working, considerate, responsible, and cooperative. Greg, the son of Connie Ludwig and Scott Price, was also happy to get the Student of the Month award. He thinks he was chosen because he has done well in his classes and turned in all his homework. He participated in football, wrestling, and track this year. His teachers say that he has worked really hard recently and that he is polite, an excellent student, and responsible.
