As part of National Nursing Home Week, the Good Samaritan Care Center held a farm day on Friday. Residents saw baby chicks hatching and were treated to a cow milking contest in the Good Samaritan Care Center parking lot.
Several milking races were held between Good Samaritan personnel and hospital system staff. Then relay races were held, with one milker filling tiny measuring cups and two runners bring them across the parking lot.
The cows were brought from the George and Lynda Frenchick farm.
