Reporter joins Press staff

Hanson grew up in southern Ohio and moved to Minnesota from Charleston, W. Va. in 1994. She spent several years in the United States Navy and has worked most recently writing technical reports and as a proofreader.

As a staff member of the Press, she will be a part-time reporter and photographer working on news and feature stories as well as doing layout.

"I have always liked to write and I enjoy meeting new people and learning new things. Being a reporter for the Paynesville Press seemed like a wonderful way to do all of these things," she said.

When she isn't working she enjoys reading murder mysteries, doing decorative painting, and gardening with her husband, Greg, and three kids. They live south of Lake Henry.
