Junior Mackenzie Merrill auditioned with her French horn in March for the All-State Orchestra. She recently received word that she has been accepted. Mackenzie will spend a week at camp in August to learn the music and will perform with the orchestra at the Minnesota Music Educators Conference in February. “This is quite an honor as Mackenzie is the first music student from Paynesville to be selected to the orchestra,” Jon Wittgraf, retired PHS music teacher, said.
She is the daughter of John and Sheila Merrill, rural Paynesville.
